i saw my highest when i was lowest it wasn’t bogus
it was my onus to own it know it over & over
instead of cripple cry a rippled tide’d lift my focus
i realized that all this time i had been in the ocean
an interconnected web of all that is here and open
it was always but a choice to be rotten or chosen
the answer never was the fix but rather be broken
a higher plane that does exist but had never been spoken
if i had tried to breathe harder i would’ve end up choking
if i had tried to stay dry, i would have end up soaking
they say the door is behind another one will open
i say you stay outside and let the doors be closing
a new perspective of knowing rather than only hoping
to see that silver is really just as good as the golden
to see emotion is only but a part of the scope and
you saw the highest when you were lowest and so you owned it

i found a peak in the valley

it was heroic to notice that the moment was frozen
instead of triple time i flipped my eyes to sip my focus
i realized that all this time i had been steady growing
a complementary break from monotonous groaning
it was always but a choice to be plotting or coasting
the answer never was the fix but rather be broken
a realization that makes you what you are to own it
if i had tried to write it down i would’ve missed the poem
if i had tried to climb at all i woulda ditched the totem
they say the floor is just fine, no need for reaching over
i say you look to the sky and see the sun is glowing
a new perspective of knowing rather than only hoping
to see a river is really just as good as an ocean
to see emotion is only but a part of the scope and
you saw the highest when you were lowest and so you owned it
